Dear Cuba Travel Network customer,

You have made a booking with us between today and December 1st and we would like to inform you on the situation in Cuba in light of hurricane Irma and how that potentially impacts your booking.

As you might have seen in the news the northern part of Cuba has been severely hit. Destinations such as Playa Santa Lucia, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria, Varadero and Playa Jibacoa have been greatly affected and won’t be easily accessible for tourism for a while.

However, our colleagues on the ground in Cuba have confirmed that the main travel destinations have only suffered minor damage. These destinations include: Havana, Pinar del Río, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus, Camagüey (city), Holguin, Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa. Flooding in Havana is limited to a few blocks around Malecon and should be gone in the next 48 hours. By then power should also be restored and things will return to normal.

With this in mind we are assessing all bookings made in order of departure date and will reach out to you to provide you with an update on your booking should it be affected. This will mainly concern travellers with departure dates in the next few days and those with beach stays in above mentioned destinations.

As communication with our local providers is sometimes difficult or even not possible right now we hope we can count on your patience while we find solutions for you.

Kind regards, saludos,

Cuba Travel Network
