Hotel Description
As part of the Natural Park Baconao, Bucanero Hotel has a particularly attractive environment, on one side the Caribbean Sea, on the other side the exuberant mountains from the Sierra Maestra mountain range. Club Bucanero is located top a cliff facing out the sea. Facing the Club is a rocky shoreline but its small, private sandy beach is no more than a couple of minutes from the most rooms.

Cant begin to tell you all the fun we had,there was eight of us....We so enjoyed every aspect of the trip.The staff was awesome!!!Julio the entertainer made us feel like we were part of every show,which we were!!!The fresh orange juice every morning was great.Lunch was the best meal of the day.We took advantage of the free bikes and went to the little village,locals were so happy to see canadiens.They were grateful for gifts.The scooters were a blast!!!cant wait to go back!!!

This is an excellent hotel with a very personalized service. I have stayed here on 4 separate occasions and never tire of coming back. The staff is excellent, the only suggestion I would make is that they should try to restore the club to the state it was in 2001-2002. Greetings to Kike Delis from your brother Frank

My husband and i, both in our 80's, spent a week in February 2008 at Bucanero and were quite happy with the experience. Of course there were plusses and minuses, but the plusses won.
The physicaL location is superb; our room looked on to the Caribbean. The resort is relatively small, but the clientele is wonderfully mixed. The staff were very pleasant, the meals more than plentiful, and the excursions well planned and reasonable with excellent guides.
The big minus is the lack of sea swimming: the small beach is rocky, and the water rough. We gave up trying to swim there, though some people did and I'm told that if you can negotiate the rocky footing the snorkelling is excellent. TWe swam in the very well designed pool, which also offered squafit excercises for those so inclined!
We also had an ongoing problem with the toilet in our room, which was fixed 3 times, but never permanently. The whole flushing system for that room ( 102) really needs to be replaced.
Suggestions for improvement? Do something to the beach to make it less unpleasant and possibly dangerous ; add an outing to a good beach - possibly at Bucaneo, near the Lagoon - say a half day event with a carry out lunch provided.

This place was absolutely wonderful in every way. The staff were warm and friendly. I was on my own and I never felt lonely. The water sports were amazing for the price when the weather was good the kamarn, it was so much fun. The bikes were in perfect condition. The activities and entertainment were also excellent. I would go back in an instant if they still had direct flights from Sudbury to Cuba. I will never forget my vacation in Cuba. I desperatly want to go back again.

Well. For me and my family this place has been a farovite for many years! It is a really pretty, mellow, location, spread out, not huge but an intimate hotel.
It is excellednt value for the low cost. --Been there maybe 12 times over 8 years. Yes, the tough hurricaines of this part of the world have done damage! Yes, it gets slowly repaired. This is not a Americain hotel !!!! It is Cuban owned, run, really pleasent, warm caring people are on staff here ! SO < --do not expect North Americain time valued here. The staff love their jobs and this is conveyed to the guests! -- lots of hugs!-- and caring. A great place for a cuban to work in a very poor country. Near by is a 15$ taxi ride to fascinating downtown Santiago De Cuba,--- full of History, culture, lots of great architecture , not great food, ok , but not Euoropean standards. No, l do not go to Cuba for the food. So many other things there are exceptional. Lots of cheap talented music
at the hotel every nigth, variety. Easy to share a taxi to town to have some nigth life! Safe small city, easy to enjoy very much walking these charming streets.--Cheap to hire a guide 12$ for maybe a four hour tour with some one with some english and probably a great education, and a great love of their city and their people. Cuba is in a very tough time now, people have had their emotional energy drained by all the things that they have done without for so manty years these people teach us to be very grateful for all that we have, and our freedom too.

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:
- If you cancel the reservation 48 hours or more before your intended arrival date, we will refund you the total amount that you paid minus an administration fee equivalent to 3% of paid amount, with a minimum of EUR 15.
- If you cancel the reservation less than 48 hours of your expected check-in date, we will refund you the total amount paid minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay.
- If you do not arrive at the hotel on the date of your expected check-in, we will refund you the total amount paid for the reservation minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay for no-show charges. Refunds must be requested in writing within 60 days of the date of your intended stay at the hotel. Once this period has passed, no refunds will be made.
We will not make refunds to credit cards, other than the credit card that was used for your booking. We may process refunds via wire transfer, in which case we will deduct any bank charges from the refundable amount. We aim to process refund within 72 hours after receiving your refund request and required information.
Payment Policy:
Reservations require payment in advance. Your credit card will be debited within 24 hours after making your reservation. Accepted credit cards - VISA, MASTERCARD. Your bill will state: www.ctnres.com. The total charge includes all room charges and taxes, as well as fees for access and booking. Any incidental charges such as parking, phone calls and room service will be handled directly between you and the property.
Hotels will provide accommodation to the person under whose name the reservation was made (“lead passenger”), and to accompanying persons as per the exact amount of adults and children booked into each room. The lead passenger must be present at the time of check-in.
Bed type and smoking preferences are not guaranteed. Your reservation is guaranteed for late arrival.
Accommodation is usually available from 16:00hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00hrs on the day of departure. The number of guests in each room is limited to the number of beds provided by the hotel. If the number of persons arriving at the hotel is different to the one selected during the reservation process, or children are not of the age required to classify as such in terms of rates/discounts (see "Children Policy"), additional charges will apply, payable directly to the hotel.
Child Policy:
Infants up to 1 year 11 months: free of charge.
Children rates will be confirmed during the online reservation process.
Children rates apply for ages 2 - 11 years, and only when sharing room with two adults.
Children 2-11 years sharing room with 1 adult must be booked as adults (double/twin room).
Children 12 years and older must always be booked as adults.
