Heading back for the 11th time on Novmber 16th, 2009 for we are sure, another great and well tanned :) holiday. It will be our first time under the new owner Grand Caribe Playa Blanca, but we expect the same if not better than the last 10 visits to the Barcelo (same place, different name. We last went for 2 weeks in April 2009 and everything was puuuurfect. For a number one and relaxing to the max vacation, this is the best in the Caribbean. See you soon again and again...

The place is paradise on earth.
You can do what every you want, people do there own thing...not like other resorts.
We met people from all walks of life and enjoyed there company.
Most of the beach is deserted ( miles of sand) so we got nude and it was cool..
We where reborn again, found that we can do what ever and it was fun..
The hotel is great( we traveled to places, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Rep. etc. and stayed in 5 star and plus..) this is not Cancun ( thank god) but a real honest place to enjoy down time at it's best... so good that we are going back for 2 weeks July 27,2008 we will see you there

Went there feb. 7 to 14 2008. this was my 4th trip to Cuba: 2 times to Santa Lucia, once to Varadero, and then Cayo Largo. All I can say is that Cayo Largo is a paradise on earth, its the best ive seen so far in Cuba, and the Barcelo..........INCREDIBLY FANTSTIC. Please chat with Yanelis, Maceo and Danny at the snack bar beside the pool. They are so nice and friendly.....and love to talk whatever....ahahahahahahaha

well..this started with the landing( the plane - we felt like sardines) out of the movies great pilot for the little space to land on!!!!!!!wow! next the check in, this was not bad.We got a loft two floors with 2 washrooms, great deal.... so first day in ...(I'm a plumber by trade) i noticed a drip from the ceiling so i told the front desk..but to my surprise they told me "it's ok, don't worry", so i didn't and my wife and i got a bit of food ( amazing burgers and pizza)went back to the room......oh! like in hell!!! we noticed water out side our room. i opened the door and it looked like real hell. so, i ran up to the 2nd floor to find our suitcase on our bed (great, but who put it there?) the ceiling was on the floor, then i stopped and said to my wife " i think we are not lucky"... so , we went to the front desk and to my surprise they already had a new room for us and started to move our stuff in.. so i went to see the room. the room had ocean view, so i went out on the balcony (and yes i needed a drink)the hotel manager walked in and asked me "what could we do to make you happy" i started to laugh and said " you have go to be joking" well this was just to much for the first day.....but the hotel was great with us........gave us excellent service and a few gifts( really over and above what was needed)... the place is out of this earth..... like all of Cuba the people are kind and all that . this hotel is for lovers and every others that want to been left alone... paradise.....miles of empty beaches.......... i can't find one bad or even sub par thing from the Barcelo hotel we where there Feb 2007 we are going back in 2008...the same place... also we travel 3-4 time every year...........Cayo Largo the Barcelo hotel will be the sure stop for us.. i love the style of this place and so will you..........you will love it also.......

We were in Cayo Largo from may 7th to may 15th. We had a great time. This is a great place to relax, and enjoy the beach. We also took the excursion on a catamaran from 1h30 to 8 h30, that was great. We visited Cayo Rico, which is the Iguana island, we were only 20 people on the boat, we had a great time. The beach are fabulous, expecially Playa Paraiso and Playa Sirena. We rented a Jeep and had fun to ride along the beach and visited the other hotel, we really loced it and we can't wit to go back

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:
- If you cancel the reservation 48 hours or more before your intended arrival date, we will refund you the total amount that you paid minus an administration fee equivalent to 3% of paid amount, with a minimum of EUR 15.
- If you cancel the reservation less than 48 hours of your expected check-in date, we will refund you the total amount paid minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay.
- If you do not arrive at the hotel on the date of your expected check-in, we will refund you the total amount paid for the reservation minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay for no-show charges. Refunds must be requested in writing within 60 days of the date of your intended stay at the hotel. Once this period has passed, no refunds will be made.
We will not make refunds to credit cards, other than the credit card that was used for your booking. We may process refunds via wire transfer, in which case we will deduct any bank charges from the refundable amount. We aim to process refund within 72 hours after receiving your refund request and required information.
Payment Policy:
Reservations require payment in advance. Your credit card will be debited within 24 hours after making your reservation. Accepted credit cards - VISA, MASTERCARD. Your bill will state: www.ctnres.com. The total charge includes all room charges and taxes, as well as fees for access and booking. Any incidental charges such as parking, phone calls and room service will be handled directly between you and the property.
Hotels will provide accommodation to the person under whose name the reservation was made (“lead passenger”), and to accompanying persons as per the exact amount of adults and children booked into each room. The lead passenger must be present at the time of check-in.
Bed type and smoking preferences are not guaranteed. Your reservation is guaranteed for late arrival.
Accommodation is usually available from 16:00hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00hrs on the day of departure. The number of guests in each room is limited to the number of beds provided by the hotel. If the number of persons arriving at the hotel is different to the one selected during the reservation process, or children are not of the age required to classify as such in terms of rates/discounts (see "Children Policy"), additional charges will apply, payable directly to the hotel.
Child Policy:
Infants up to 1 year 11 months: free of charge.
Children rates will be confirmed during the online reservation process.
Children rates apply for ages 2 - 11 years, and only when sharing room with two adults.
Children 2-11 years sharing room with 1 adult must be booked as adults (double/twin room).
Children 12 years and older must always be booked as adults.
