Travel to Holguin City Cuba

Calixto Garcia Park, the center of Holguin’s social life, lies at a distance of exactly three kilometers from Loma de Cruz. It was originally established for military purposes as an Arms Square for the Spanish garrison in the city. Visit the Art-Deco theatre, art gallery, and eclectic display of historical exhibits inside the Museo Provincial. The fine Carlos de la Torre Natural History Museum, just south of the square on Calle Maceo, has a large collection of indigenous snail shells in dazzling colors.

The San José Church, completed in 1815, is one of the city’s most important architectural monuments. Later modifications have given the church its neo classical character.
